St Cuthbert is the patron saint of the eider duck, ever since he lived on the Farne, and started a measure of protection for the downy birds. 
Our second room is named after him, and offers a level of luxury that he could not have imagined from his windswept windowless cell on the island

The St. Cuthbert room

The king size double bed in the St Cuthbert room has a high quality mattress that seems to give guests a satisfying and restful nights sleep. Our guests speak highly of their comfort staying with us here. 
The first words of greeting from one guest next morning were ‘can we take the bed home with us?’
On the wall is a digital television with DVD player and you are of course welcome to borow any of the DVD’s if you’re inclined to watch a film. 

we named the bear ‘Cuthbert’ too!
